Went to get my baby out to hold her yesterday, and she wasn't in her cage. With almost forty other animals, three cats, a puppy, and three room mates I don't know if I'll ever be able to find her. :( If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I've had the problem with one of my ball pythons the first time he was gone for about 2 months I think. I live in a 5 bedroom house so it was difficult to find him my brothers girlfriend actully found him in the bathroom a nice place to find a snake eh? The second time (he's an escape artist) i found him under one of my speakers in my room. So I would look under anything that it could go under who know you might get lucky? Its also a smaller snake though than a python so good luck.

check under and behind anything warm. especially your computer. and lock up the cats for awhile. you may also want to put out a mouse in the middle of the floor over night, of course in something it cant get out of and just wait.

There's no way I can lock up the cats, my boyfriend would throw a fit. The mouse trick would be a good idea, except it's a very picky eater, and a pain in the ass to feed. Hmmmmmm. I might still try it though, you never know. I just really hope she turns up. :(

snakes get away and it sucks.. but it happens. you might try something like this i've seen suggested here before as well: create an area to try to attract the snake. create a warm spot with perhaps a heat pad, rock, light/ceramic element. put a dish of water and maybe a hide nearby. check the spot, especially at night. maybe the snake will find a way there looking for water or a warm spot. it's a long shot but i'm sure you are probably willing to try whatever. good luck to you.

Finding Missing Snake Method

Place a strip of aluminum foil on the ground, place a thin line of flour on the foil. Leave these strips in various locations, around places corns like to be (heat, etc) When ever you see the line of flour disrupted, you will know what direction it was heading, or even leave a trail to find it. Try even placing a basking spot near the strips, or a mouse to lure it.

Hope this helps, and find that snake soon.

Thanks everyone, she hasn't been found yet, but I'm hoping I find her real soon. I'll have to try that flour idea.

have you thought about dragging a dead mouse along the base boards and into a cardboard box. it might be take the bait and as it is eating and digesting you might be able to find it.
