Went buggin in Bryan Tx. Way too hot for me! Didn't find much but here are a few pics. When I got back to my house, I found 7 baby hognose snakes eggs had hatched. Thought I had six but there are seven snakes and my calculator says that there were seven eggs too. budum tshhhhhhh! Aaaanyway, one more day with me gone and some might have been gonners. Water dried up while I was gone. It is really hot here. Lost three baby centipedes and a few of my weird Hoodia cactus plants. But most everything else is ok.

Daimond back water snakes (Nerodia rhombifer rhombifer).

Gray treefrog tadpoles

the baby hognose snakes happened to hatch while I was gone. Got lucky.

Nice snakes!
Are Daimond back water snakes not rear fanged? In the UK I think they are DWA listed? Means in the UK you have to have a license to own them :(

Nope, North American water snakes of the genus Nerodia are not rear-fanged, but hognoses are.

Dammit now I want a hognose. :wall:

If I show up with another animal my girlfriend will leave me, my parents will never visit me again and write me out of their will (I was so hoping to inherit the 8 track collection) and I will alienate all my friends. Argh.

Maybe if I claim I always had it noone'll notice its new ;P
