Hello! I have some baby Grass Spiders and I dont know what to feed them, should I give them flightless fruit flies? Its november so there are no insects where I live. Also please let me know a list of things i can feed them. This is my first time raising them as spiderlings so help would be greatly appreciated. Please help and thank you.

How many do you have? If you had a whole sac hatch you could let them cannibalize for a bit. Otherwise fruit flies would probably be your best bet.

Agelenopsis slings are very easy to care for. simply separate them, let them build a web.

Their hunting strategy is very effective- they will run circles around their prey to ensnare it.

Do not feed wild-caught insects to your spiders.

Just get some small mealworms or crickets and they'll be just fine. They can tackle surprisingly large prey when they're young.

The problem with separating is that some will escape and I don't want that happening, so can i keep them together and just give them the fruit flies?

You'll probably have some cannibalism if you keep them together unless you're constantly throwing flies in. The other issue you could run into keeping them together is them having enough room to even build a web. If some escape, they'll just take up residence in a corner and be happy there. I actually have a couple Agelenopsis living in my invert room and they take care of any roaches or crickets that get out.

When i throw flies in will they instantly go after them? I don't want them to starve

Highly aggressive but shy at the same time. Very good eyesight. They will hide when they see your shape which can be frustrating come feeding time but with the threat gone they are on tidbits in their web at light speed. The webs have no sticky threads and just provide an optimal race track for the spiders.
