I have a baby curly hair tarantula that is about 1-1.25 inches big in diameter, I was wondering how long it takes for them to get to full size... Does anyone know?
Im pretty sure there was a discussion about that here a couple of months ago (cant find it now) about how you could apparently sex a tarantula by its growth rate, where many keepers reported that their females grew at the same rate,if not faster than the males, which disproved that method of sexing. To be fair it also depends on the sex, as males tend to grow faster due to the decreased overall lifespan.
Interesting, if you can find the link I'd gladly read it.Im pretty sure there was a discussion about that here a couple of months ago (cant find it now) about how you could apparently sex a tarantula by its growth rate, where many keepers reported that their females grew at the same rate,if not faster than the males, which disproved that method of sexing.

So, I know it is very difficult (if not impossible) to sex slings smaller than 3/4-1" DLS BUT there are a few indicators the experienced eye can sometimes spot - such as the growth rate. The theory is; when you have say, 2 to 4 (or more) slings from the same egg sac, you likely have some of...arachnoboards.com

Maybe i did shorten it a bit, based on the assumptions of my experiences.Interesting, I'll keep that in mind. Appreciate the backup, still I think 2-2.5 years to get a full grown T Albo is a bit fast though.
