Well, she finally molted!!!! Number 8 and the last of that cascading string of molts I recently had. I've updated my photo thread (link is in my sig) with this pic, and a couple other goodies too (an arboreal must-see)!!! In the works is my very first Feeding Video, which should be finished (ran out of crikets, courtesy of the stupid bimbo at the LPS  ), edited ,and uploaded this weekend.

But for now, enjoy!!!

You can't sex it like that at such an early age.

Sigh.....here you go!!!! This is how I know it's Female....with a molt.

3.5" DLS

I tried to pinch-grab her for a ventral shot, but she wasn't going for it, and I have yet to figure out how to get a good pic through clear plastic.

I agree... To sex this way or imply a sexing this way could be SO misleading to a newb..
Even if it is a male..
But, very nice spider!
I love before-molts with after-molts.. :)

Wish I would have seen this post while I was uploading my exuvia and measurement pics. The ONLY T's I know of that can be sexed dorsally prior to maturity are Pokies, but even then, that's iffy at best. You would swear up and down that by dorsally looking at my P. irminia you would think it's female......but he's not!!!! :p

I agree with Miss Bianca. Even thinking you can sex dorsally is a huge fallacy in itself. Ventral sexing is alot more accurate, but the 100% sure way to sex is to have molt confirmation.
