Just looking into a future purchase, was wondering out of the 3 Brachypelma listed, which do you enjoy the most? Is there a species out of these 3 that is more desirable due to personality or activity? They all seem rather beginner/intermediate friendly. Also looking into a Euathlus sp, aand a Brachypelma albopilosum. Any other genus you might recommend? I'm keeping Grammostola pulchripes, Avicularia versicolor, Brachypelma Vagans, and 2 tiny hapolopus sp columbia.

Like I said just looking into the future :)

Heck i would get all 3 Brachys they are pretty nice and lovely coloration. But Euathlus sp red is great too, you wont regret that, if you get one of those.:)

You need an albo for certain! Busiest slings ever, love those little bulldozers.
I have a B emilia simply because to me they are one of the prettier
'red-leg' Tarantulas. Mine is just a little psychotic though.

I love my albopilosum. They are easy to find, not too expensive, and overall great T's. I've heard some things about b Emilia's being pet rocks, but I think they are the most beautiful out of the 3. The boehmei I've heard is a mad hair kicker. And personally, I like the B Auratum more than the b smithi but that's just my opinion. I don't own any of these species but they all look amazing and I would love to have one. If I could chose out of the 3 I'd pick the Emilia and eventually end up with all 3 :)

I would jump into A.geniculata, man. Not for give a speedy boost of all sort, uh. But because I assume you could own one of those without issues.

Yes, the mighty A.geniculata :)

There's no Theraphosidae, no one, always out in the open like those. You know, a lot of people view those like 'intermediate' ones. I disagree. They are, and I'm kind, 'semi-intermediate' maybe.

They are among the best eaters, easy to care, females are big... the temperament isn't bad at all, only a great feeding response (they view as food everything inside). I suggest you one my man :-s

Hehe, be careful. In a year or so you will need more space for all those spiders, this hobby is soo addictive. :D
I'm starting to see that! At least I have tons of enclosures already from over the years haha! I just need some more shelves. Or a setup like you have in your videos :)

I never would have imagined getting so many T but they're so addicting, even more so than the reptiles I've kept all my life, it's almost just not fair to my wallet!

I'm going to be in this hobby for quite a while, aren't i? :)

I like my AF emilia the best, as it's more unique looking than all the others out of Mexico that are common in the hobby, except for klassi. It's equally as unique IMO.

As I own all the species you mentioned, except vagans. The easiest to deal w/ in terms of disposition and size is E. sp Red (hard to find these past 2 years), splitting hairs, the next best is G. pulchripes.

Versi are good arboreals.

As for all the other Brachy's mentioned, it's a crap shoot on disposition (ie docile or super flicker). Personally pick your favorite looking Brachy and settle w/one. Owning more than 1 for me at least is just the same T w/a new color/pattern, ie gets boring.

Generally, for most likely to flick to least Boehmei>Emilia>Smithi>Albo

Everyone out there is going to say they have a specimen that goes against what I wrote (GOOD FOR YOU). They can all put a sock in it, and realize the above is a general guideline and all Ts are individuals, just like humans. Some are nice, some are serial killers.

One could easily call emilia and smithi a tie in likeliness to flick.

H sp Columbia large and small/Klein variants I own. Much faster, easy to maintain, they really are wired. A very nervous species and with the most impressive feeding response you'll see.

Below is an AF large form, and a E sp Yellow

Only 5-6 haha that wont last long
personally anything Euathlus....
I have sp red, sp yellow, truculentus, sp blue femur, parvulas, sp north and I just scratched the surface. While I own or have owned B. smithi, boehmei, emilia I do like the looks emilia best.

I think out of the Brachypelma, I'll pick up an albopilosum and a smithi to go along with my vagans.

DEFINITELY want a Euathlus species, any of them. Would love a red.

I like that A.geniculata a lot :) will probably be getting one of those as well.

Definitely going the check out the Aphonopelma genus as well.

And of course I just saw some beautiful purple avics -.-

Here we go...

Only the E sp Red and E sp Yellow have the excellent disposition (at least those available in the USA), the others not quite as human tolerant, some not even tolerant.
