Dry food. Wet is asking for mold. Not that I think it's a giant deal but I use whatever has "natural" on the label. Alot of foods have things like taurine or preservatives that are completely unnecessary. I use "naturals: plus vitamins and minerals" from purina. I mix it with corn meal because its really cheap. $15 for a 50 lb bag

robc made a video on how he keps his Dubia colony on youtube. I'm sure it's still on his site somewhere (tarantulaguy1976). Anyway, I think I remember him saying that it is better to use a cheap brand because they're the ones that don't have added calcium. And you don't want to load your roaches with a lot of calcium because too much calcium can lead to moulting problems with the larger Ts.

I just use supermarket 'own brand' dry cat food for mine mixed with crushed oatmeal :D

I use the super cheap blue bag stuff from target and it works well enough. Bit of a smell generated because of the catfood, but nothing major IME.

I buy dry cat food at an organic food store, Whole Foods. I do that because there is a lot of grain used in dry dog and dry cat foods, maybe the chances of pesticides being in the organic brands is less but, lol how do we know..

- My roaches love to eat bran, I just dumped a few handfuls in a few times a week and in the morning most of it has been eaten.

- They go coo coo for banana

- I will sometimes soak a slice of bread in water then place it in the roach bin, they will eat it all and get the liquid out of it by morning.

- They will pretty much eat anything...

- I do mist my bin as well and have not had any mold in the past 1-2 years I have had them. However, when I do mist, I turn the temperature up on the heatmat for a few hours to get the humidity high and dry it out.
