My B.dubia colony is doing great and breeding well. I was just curious if the food I'm feeding them is nutritious and varied enough for gut loading (as their used as food for my T's, scorps, cents, and other carnivors). Their diet consists of:

Romain lettuce
Spinach
Grapes
Strawberries
Cucumber
Apples
Dog food
Fish food
dog biscuits
Grahm crackers
Cheerios
Hermit crab food

Is this diet varied enough to provide optimal health and gut loading??

I toss in two apples a week and some dry dog food. but variety is the spice of life.

I use carrots as water and the below recipe sent to me by Jacobi as their staple diet:

STANDARD BLEND
5 parts Layena unmedicated chick mash (feed store)
2 parts honey nut toasted oats (grocery store)
1 part mixed baby cereal (grocery store)
1 part calcium fortified corn flakes (grocery store)
1 part tropical fish flake containing spirulina (pet store)

All components are reduced to crumbs or powder with an old blender and thoroughly mixed and stored in an airtight container.
