So I went to the North Bay Reptile Bazaar today expecting to find at least a few spiders, but none of the spider people showed up and EBV didn't bring any with them to the show. They did bring another creature which I thought was really awesome. It's called an Axolotl. They're a type of salamander from Mexico. I've seen them in pet stores sometimes but never a white one. I had to get the little guy he was just too cute. I gave him a giant earthworm when I got home and he gobbled it up.
I thought I would share some pics :)

Great photos! Since it is now illegal to import them into CA(think ones in CA are still legal however) it will be hard for me to get one though.

Be careful with whatever that is on the bottom, they're very prone to impaction from accidentally gobbling up any piece of substrate that will fit in their mouths.

Axolotls are so awesome, I want one someday. :)

Thanks! After reading more about them I think I'll probably have to get him his own tank with some different substrate. Right now he's in a 30 gallon with two big goldfish. The fish are afraid of him right now but I'm worried that they might nip at him when they get a little more brave.
East Bay Vivarium said they get their Axolotls from a breeder in CA. I don't know who it is, but if you contact them, they may be able to tell you where you can get one. They also sell them at their shop :)
Axolotls are from a small region of mexico and are on the protected species list That's why they can't be imported anymore.

Haha, I think you should be more worried about the fish the second the axolotl decides they (or any part of them, like their tail) might fit in his mouth. {D

The substrate I've always heard is best is large, smooth river rocks that they have no chance of eating.
