Had a Christmas party at my buddy's apt the other day and he gave me TWO Chromatopelma Cyaneopubescens (Green Bottle Blue) slings and a Poecilotheria Regalis (Indian Ornamental) sling as gifts!!! Thanks Kohl!!!

Now, from those experienced with these species... what can I expect from either? These are the first of either species I've ever owned.

From what I've heard, the GBB's are "pet holes" and the Pokie is INSAINE! Hahaha! Regardless, I'm super psyched about my new slings!!!

Tis the season for tarantulas under my tree!!!

Duuuuude... you have cool friends. LOL

Congrats on the new additions! Those are great Ts!

I don't have either... but from what I've heard, GBBs are insane webbers but not really "pet holes" and P. regalis are some of the calmer pokies (which means, only "mildly" insane lol)

Can I just say that out of any other hobbies or interests I've had, people in this hobby are definitely the most quick to help and spread the joy of this hobby (i.e. - limitless personal experience stories, a bunch of freebies with shipments, and overall nice people with a good respect for animals). It's easy to get addicted to the hobby just because everyone else projects their excitement onto you. So thank you to everyone keeping the hobby alive (and growing).

Sorry to threadjack, just thought I'd throw that out there.

GBB's are definitely not pet holes... I have 3 .... one being a MM, the other's one sling and one juvi..... none of them are pet holes. They do like to web a lot but mine are quite active most of the time, only slowing down for pre-molt.

I read that thread, too. That was horrible what happened. But, everyone definitely pulled through. Hopefully when I have more T's I, too, can help out others in the hobby. But kudos to you for giving a truly "Awsome" Christmas gift. If I even asked for one as a gift all of my friends would look at me as if I had two heads. {D

Wooaaaah thats a gift alright :)

Gbb's are not pethole btw. My slings are in deli cups and webs up a mat and stands on the mat, they dig a little bit in premolt but thats it. My slings eat every day if i offer them crickets so just feed em with good feeders and you will get about one molt each month at the start :) mist they're web one time a week maybe 2 times when its in premolt.

wish you a good luck and a merry xmas:)
