How long after a molt was it when you put the male in with her?

Congrats on the sac.
Do you have a good pic of the female from the dorsal view?

Thanks

Nice sequence and congrats on the successful sac!

Is that the male getting crunched up I see near the bottom of the sequence, right above the first sling pic?

I wondered that too... was he killed? Or just missing a leg (or two)?

HEllo,
I will try to get pics of the mom now that she is out and placed on another cage.

The male was eaten almost instantly after he finished inserting, never seen that behavior in an Avic before. She is eating him on the last pic before the babies.

So far i have separated 62 babies, and plenty more in the nest, so I think I will end up with a little over 100 babies.

She did good, now I need to get another male.

Hey Francisco,

Congrats... but I don't know about the 1st CB in the states statement. To me, that spider has likely been sold as a number of different things over many years. Not that we have any idea what A. urticans really is anyway. But about every variation of the purple fuzzy spiders from Peru/Ecuador/Brazil have been bred over here at some point.

Please understand I'm not trying to be rude in any possible way.

Would like to see some better shots of those 2 spiders, when you get the chance (not that they will provide some revelation, lol).

Congrats again on the babies... very nice spiders.

Congrats on the successful breeding. I didn't know avics were so hard on their boyfriends.
