Hello Joe,

It may look more like Iridopelma, but by Reginald Innes Pocock's definition (who described the genus Iridopelma), the males of Iridopelma species have a tibial apophysis on both leg I and II. The tibial apophysis in Avicularia sooretama is absent.

Doesn't I. seladonium lack tibial apophysis as well?

It does. ;-) This is why it may not stay in gen. Iridopelma for long!
