I believe that A. metallica isn't recognised as an actual species, what is it then? Is it a Cariebna versicolour morhoptype?

How would one write that in binomial name form?

Avicularia avicularia morphotype #6?

People usually just write it down as "Avicularia avicularia M6" or "Avicularia avicularia (morphotype 6)" or something to that effect.

They are still sold here as A. metallica though.

Does anyone have a good summary of what the 6 types are? I assume most of them are hopelessly hybridized in the captive population at this point.

I'm still calling them Avicularia avicularia metallica. Very few people have a clue about the changes.

I have never heard them called that haha Avicularia metallica, OR Avicularia avicularia M6.

I have been told the morphotype 6 can be identified by the lack of red on the hair and the size being quite large. This is my big female morphotype 6

I got her about 9 months ago and she molted twice and went from 3 inches to a beast. So she is freshly matured. I think she would make a great mother.
