Avicularia metallica in the UK.

I was just browsing the species lists of a few of my favourite vendors in the UK and I noticed that one place was selling A.metallica for £27 (6-10cm leg span). Don't you guys in the States have to pay a small fortune for these? Here's the URL for any Brits who fancy one.

You're thinking about Poecilitharia metallica. A.metallica isn't that expensive at all.

No, I think he's thinking Avicularia metallica. If the Brits can get P. metallica for 27 pounds, I'm booking one of those special fares to London and filling my suitcase.

That's not really a small fortune relative to here. I paid $30 US for an A. metallica sling a few months ago. A. avics are dirt cheap, the rest seem to go for about $25-$35 as slings.

Doh, I completely misread the original post as asking if we NA folks had to pay similarly "high" prices for A. metallica :8o

I will go check my eyesight now...
