Guessing (she's still too soft to run about near a ruler) 4-5" or so.

Have you checked out the palps, though? The versis I've seen molt into such beautiful feathery legs have also molted into their boy parts at the same time. Not an absolute thing, but worth checking...

I can't IMMEDIATELY see hooks. But he/she is still quite soft.

I'll give him/her a week before having a better look.

He/She is quite long in the front legs, isn't he/she...

The hooks on versis are quite small, and get lost in the hairs of the legs if you don't look really close. The palps are a dead giveaway though - if they don't look like they used to (a little shorter, knobbier) then she's a he.

Actually... just between you and me, I used a flashlight last night to check the palps. I think Maria might be Mario.

It's something I've kinda suspected. The few occasions where I've seen, briefly, his/her belly, I've thought... hmm - that looks male.

I was hoping that if I kept calling him Maria he might get the hint.
