For the past 2 months or so now, my subadult Avic sp. "Amazonica" has been spending quite a bit of time on the floor of her enclosure every now and then. She's always stayed a bit closer to the ground than my Versicolor, and she hasn't made a web retreat like the Versi has (she does have some webbing behind the leaves in her enclosure, but nothing like a "web home").

I'm just wondering if I should be worried about this?
The first time I saw her on the ground, I tried gently nudging her with a paintbrush and, while she was a bit unresponsive at first, she soon starting walking up the side of the glass with no physical problems. She hasn't eaten for about a month now either, so I wondering if this could be a sign of pre-molt?

She normally sits on the floor of the enclosure for a couple of hours each time, though she's normally perched on the top of her leaves or on the front of the glass.

Edit: Saw her again on the ground about 10 minutes ago and tried feeding her. She did eat this time (though not without a bit of hesitation) and she is currently still eating the locust whilst on the enclosure floor.

As long as she is eating and looks healthy I don't think you have much to worry about.

Don't worry about her not making web, that's normal for avics. Actually when she starts making a web hammock it can be a sign of premoult, but it also may not be so it's not very reliable on it's own. Everything sounds normal, just make sure you have a water bowl full of clean water, it's possible she was searching for water on the ground (unless you already have a water bowl in there?)

I thought the same when i read it but i wasn't unsure if it was because of that or just a T logic behavior.
Being afraid of too much humidity and too low ventilation may result in the opposite enclosure conditions.

There's a water dish in her enclosure, though I've only ever seen her drinking from it once (drank for a whole 10 minutes). I mist the enclosure once a week and I've noticed that she sometimes appears to drink the water droplets off the glass when I do this.

She's currently behind the leaves at the top of her enclosure again, been there since this morning.

That's normal behavior to drink like that...what about ventilation?
In any case it's Nothing to be seriously worried about...

She's in a tall nano exo terra (20cmx20cmx30cm) which has air holes below the glass door and a wire mesh(ish) top, so I think the ventilation is fine.

I have 2 A. sp. Peru. 1 has just enough web to sleep in the other has tunnels of web. Both will come down to hunt if crickets and roaches don't climb up to them. Sometimes they stay on the ground to eat. Not all Tarantulas do what most of their species do. I have an Orphnaceous Blue that is said to be arboreal but has burrows and tunnels all through the ground but has never made any web above the ground and is doing very well. Here in central California I found an Aphonopelma web that went 4 feet up a tree. I've never seen or heard of these in trees before but at least one in the wild lives up a tree.

Yeah I have an avic who stays on the ground, but that is mainly because it seems to not be able to climb right now. I believe that is a sign of premolt though in them.

Sounds normal. I keep my amazonica in the same type of enclosure, how is your tank setup? Is there somewhat of a hide at the top of the enclosure? I have a cork bark flat in the corner that stretches to the screen top that she quickly webbed up behind at the top but not connected to the screen top. Even if you don't it should eventually web up just might take longer. Some will rip down their webs and take months to make a new one.

That. My A. avic hasn't webbed really at all ever. Certain Avic species seemingly don't web that much, while others (A. purpurea, A. versicolor to name two...) web up a lot of their enclosures :D
