I got this spider as a WC 2.5-3 inch Avic minatrix. Most pics of minatrix i see have such Bright red on the abdomin. Whys this one so dull. Is it possable its not minatrix? Do males look different than females? Do i just have a ugly minatrix, and Im wasting your time over nothing? If this spider is a male its not mature yet. Other possablities i was thinking were A. bicegoi, or A. ancylochira. Not evan sure if there in the pet trade though.

I agree with Brandon. The 2 I have are not ever as bright as some of the pics I've seen.

If it is 2.5 -3" it should be showing the red and black on the abdomen even if it is going to molt,Cos at this size they are adults!I know there are some slight colour varients of minatrix but ive never seem one that extreme,Though it could be a male as ive never seen a male minatrix before,I would nt mind im getting a mature male minatrix very soon,so ill know then.Can you send me some different angled shots of that spider!
