Good Luck with a sac, i am also currently breeding my female with Ice Cold Milk's male and Avics are such a great species for a first time mating expeirience IMHO, i really like the calmness of both of them. That is untill after they hook up they then go CRAZY! (the male, that is) Good Luck again and hopefully we can both get some sacs!

i heard baby avics are especially harder to care for..as they're particularly more sensitive to moisture compared to other species?

People say that and IME my versicolor was sensitive to moisture. I have one more left and it is huge and she is doing just fine and webs alot! I think it just depends on how you take care of it, i have had some trouble but as a became more expeirienced with tarantulas it really wasnt much of a problem for me. Good Luck and hope this helps!
