Hello, my Australian huntsman is maybe 1”. He’s notorious for bad molts while his sac mate does just fine. He’s lost a leg in the past so I make sure that I mist his enclosure when I know he’s going to molt..which I did yesterday. But here we are.
It looks like half of one leg is stuck and the end of another leg. I put the enclosure on its side so he’s not have to hold on to the bark. He’s alive and struggling to get out.
when do I intervene? Will he drop the legs like tarantulas do? Is it expected for one sac mate to do fine with molts and one to not? Could it be something I’m doing?

By the time he's going to moult he will have all the moisture he needs already so misting just before he moults is not helping. He should drop the legs that's a thing all spiders will do if they get stuck, if the rest of him is ok then hopefully he sorts it out in future moults.
