Hello, this is my first time on arachnoboards and I was wondering if my asian forest that I've had for 3 months is a female or male. I've had and sexed multiple emperors and redclaws before with no problems at all but this guy seems a little trickier. Also if it is a female do you think that it could be gravid because I'm feeding it as much as it wants which is on average only 1 large cricket every week and a half which is less food than any other scorpion I've had and it is getting pretty large. These are the best pictures I could get of it and I'm also wondering this because another Heterometrus from the same store was gravid and gave birth around the same time.

I think it's a female too. I just hooked up some what I think are H. petersii that are morphologically close. The short pectine teeth ...'female', longer for males.

We'll never mind. It was gravid because I now have BABIES!!!!!!!! I did have my suspicions but I didn't want to keep my hopes up just in case it wasn't.
