I am getting a order on tuesday and I cant wait any longer! I am getting:

Two 1/4" A. seemani
Two 1/2" A. Avicularia
One 1" P. Formosa(I am ready)
One 4" H. Maculata(Ready for this too)

AAaaaaannnnnndddddd(drum roll)

One EIGHT" S. subspinipes!

Yay, They where supposed to be here today, but the guy I am ordering from was away on business, so he is shipping monday.

Anything I can do to pass the time?

I am so excited. I have ordered from this guy before and he is great. I love old worlds myself and will take all the necessary precautions(and then some) to improve my chance with the aggressive ones, especially the maculata and centipede.(pedes are my fav.)
:D =D  ;) :} EDIT oops, forgot a smiley!:) lol

Start to prepare the enclosures now?

Don't assume you're "ready" for these faster spiders; assumption is the mother-of-all-mess-ups. Be wary to S-L-O-W-L-Y unpack them, using adequate equipment. Be ready for the spider to 'fall' into it's enclosure with the lid ready.

Practice that for now. I usually do this, then the transport goes well, but better to be ready just incase. If the spiders DO co-operate with little effort, I don't require a "I TOLD YOU I WAS READY!" As they should be fine, just be careful man...

Sweet!! My 'pede vanished one day, still havn't found the little bugger :?

hah nice! Yeah, sorry if I came accross as bitchy or anything:p When I'm waiting I just fiddle around with the set up and make it look different or something.

Worst scenario is recieving a spider on the wrong day and not having the terranium prepared... DOH! Or when a 1" spider is actually a 3" monster and doesn't take too kindly to a jam jar

Yeah all should be fine, but still take care with it :) A good tip is to do the transporting in the bath tub as they wont escape from this. Fix the plug in though!

Not bitchy at all, and I always use the bathtub, even with rose hairs(you would understand when you own a cobalt in a chilean rose body) No harm in being careful!

WHo did you order from. If he/she was any good I will be ordering more as soon as I get my 4 early next week. Mine are coming from Cronoss. I am getting a Blondie a Cobalt a King Baboon and a Pink Zebra. I have a Curly hair, a Red Knee a Red Rump a Flame Knee a red leg a Rio Grande and an Usambara. I am really pumped up too. The wait is killing me.

Sounds like some real nice T's you're getting. I just got my order of slings today from Scott @ Thespidershop.com. I know how you mean about waiting on em! hehe :D

I put em all in plastic boxes from the craft store cause they are too small for critter keepers and I wanted them in some sort of display setup. I put the cups / vials inside the display (working in the tub with tweezers) and then SLOOOOwly pulled out the paper towels to expose the little buggers, then carefully guided them to climb out of the shipping contaners. One of the L.parahybana I'm contemplating naming Ninja, cause he pulled a straight up invisibility stunt!! Seems he molted in shipping or was kept in the same container he got shipped in cause I found a tiny molt and thought I had a dead arrival until I went ALL the way through the vial and found the little critter!! For a T that can rival T.blondi as a mature adult for size, it was amazing how tiny and easily concealed he was!! (LOL)

Yeah those little buggers can hide behind a grain of sand it seems. My Red Rump molted the other day from about 1/4 " now she is a fat 1/2 The Flame Knee is about ready to molt she is 2"+ so she should be close to 3 after the molt. My Rio Grande is also ready to molt, she is about 1"+

Congrats on your new Ts on the way :)

I must agree that Rob at Arachnomania is great for getting inverts! Just got myself a 2 1/2" goliath and 3" usumbara from him and they are perfect! Saw the P. formosa that you're getting and it's so cute and gorgeous! The starburst was also impeccable! I'm so jealous!

Wish I could help you with passing the time... The one thing that can be really hard sometimes!!! I'm a PC gamer so I guess that would be my best suggestion.

Yes I got to see most of his stuff :D

Wish I could help you out with the "pede" more but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to the different species and wouldn't remember which one you are getting. I can say that they all looked good though, like all of his inverts.

Can't wait to go check out his new stock :)
