Hi guys I'm new here and have a question so I have a arizona blonde tarantula and I'm getting worried she isn't eating and her abdomen had been balding for about 8 months now I'm just not sure what's going on if she isn't eating because she's molting soon but I've been thinking that for awhile I've been weighing her and she isn't loseing any weight does anyone know what's going on?

This species can take forever to molt. I had one that's like 1/3" that took 3 months to molt. As long as there's a water dish, I wouldn't worry too much. What size is she?

Yeah I wouldn't worry, especially if you're in the northern hemisphere where it's winter now. Just keep an eye on things. Once her bald butt starts turning darker you'll know it's coming soon

You don't have to worry as they are a very slow growing species, meaning they can spend months going to a year in pre-molt maybe even longer. As long as she is well fed, I would leave her alone and wait for her to patiently molt for when the time comes.

theyre known to fast as much as a year or even two....as long as a t is plump, they dont require food...a balding rump isnt a concern in any way.

Pics needed for accurate answer- likely full and potential premolt

There are many species that have extended periods without eating, this is one.

I have a massive AF (see avatar) who has a bald spot, has been fasting for 9 months +/- and that is the way it goes. You just ride it out. Imagine their world, it is feat or famine depending on season so this is just what they do

Your A.chalcodes will probably molt around the time the sun becomes a white dwarf star. She'll mature right before the heat death of the universe. :)
(They grow very slowly, I've had my 1" A.chalcodes for almost 3 years and she's only molted twice)
