My little brother found one of these the other day and it promptly laid a clutch of eggs. apparently they can get up to about 1.5". the spike crest on the thorax is pretty kick@ss. assassin bugs altogether are pretty awesome as it is. anyone care ofr these before? any tips on care for the eggs?
thanks all

The eggs are tricky to get to successfully hatch in my experience. They dessicate easily and also mold easily. I had luck leaving them outside for the winter in a protected place, but when I brought them in so they could hatch I only got ~33% to hatch, the rest appeared to have developed mold. The ones I left indoors to hatch never hatched before they either dried out or began to mold. I am trying new techniques this winter, I'll let you know how/if they work. By the way, the nymphs were very easy to rear, and did not cannibalize each other.
