They are active, need large cages with deep substrate and they eat a ton. They need a basking spot with high temps. A number of keepers are having success with them in the states lately. Cool varanids if you have the space and money to keep them.

Definately. I love these guys, I think I'm gonna hold off on the Argus though, atleast till the Tegu and Black Throat grow up a bit.
