with a hopper catched in the web


another one eating a butterflie

the habitat,... i found 22 :cool: specimen on webs
close to eachother on aprox 60m²

very nice, I been playing paint ball in a place very similar to this, long herb ... and I found many MANY yellow spider a bit similar to yours but certainly not the same species, still very nice

awesome!

i saw a similar species in CA, USA that got maybe 2-3" legspan... how big does it seem like "yours" get?

biggest i've spotted had 2" legspan :)

they do look alot like "yours" i guess: Argiope aurantia ?

Beautiful pics Steven :)

This spider is very common now in Poland (few years ago it was very rare, and now is still under protection). I see a lot of them every week on xerotermic meadows.

This one is mine. Pics are really bad, because they were taken during bad weather and there was not enough light.

aurantia or argentata, i forget which ones. i've been neglecting the poor true spiders for myglamorphs and especially centipedes ( :evil: ) recently :(

great pics its common name is the wasp spider.didnt know that belgum had them.would like some of those.

I forgot to say,there rare in uk ,only being in a small 10mile area,in southern england,as far as i know,would like some egg (cases) of them to breed my self,any one want to send me some :)
