My buddy has a couple that we caught on a job site, and he has them housed in a ten gallon with coco fiber with a bunch of damp leaf litter on one side and a little drier on the other, and a shallow water bowl. I personally don't think you need a 50/50 water/land set-up. They don't need any extra source of heat that I know of. Throw in some small crickets a couple of times a week and your good to go.

FYI: wood frogs freeze over during the winter months, then re-animate come spring.

Just let 'em go outside. They freeze up during the winter and are perfectly fine in spring.

Are you even sure they're wood frogs? You already misidentified your wolf spider as a rare species from Italy.

If youre gonna keep it make sure you dust the crix with calcium and vitamins every so often.

Also, you guys are talking about aestivation.

mabye you would be best letting it go?

it's a wild animal, i'm not so sure it would be happy in captivity...

nah, put it outside.

you can keep it if you like, there is nothing I can do about it, but it's a wild animal and it might not do well in captivity.
