Hi
I purchased a couple hundred lady beetle eggs a month ago and a few did hatch and crawl around. I have no live feed or aphids but did daily add fresh flowering plants/nectar/honey, etc. A week later there was VERY bad mould overgrowth all over and it must have killed everything.

Today I cleaned out the tank and to my suprise found a few of these pupae like things which I assume are lady beetles? I accidentally submerged them in water when rinsing the container then dried them immediately. However the tank had access for other bugs to enter (especially via the added plants/flowers) and online searches show lady beetle pupae are black so not sure what these are.
I've also read they're cannibalistic so even if my honey and flowers aren't sufficient, they must have eaten each other to survive. Screenshot_20240816_000210_Video Player.jpg Screenshot_20240816_000210_Video Player.jpg Screenshot_20240816_000218_Video Player.jpg

Any help?

I'm in Australia which may make a difference since I commercially purchased them online and had the eggs arrive in the post. It is specifically called Harmonia conformis, or the Large Spotted Ladybird.
According to iNaturalist, there have only been two reported sightings in the US and Canada, one in Montana and one in Calgary.

I've searched their lifecycle which does not resemble this at all due to most being dark coloured and would like to ID what they actually are although their 3 pairs of legs are indicative.

Thank you.

Harmonius Conformis Larvae are shown as being Dark with eventual Orange Striping
I would still grow them out, and see what happens?
Welcome to Arachnoboards.
