Yes. Standard roach food (dry cat food, veggies, water crystals).

The cheapest dog food/cat food can be had at any farm supply store. You can usually get around 20lbs for about $5-$6.
We haven't had much luck getting our E.posticus colony to eat fruits and veggies...but they LOVE meat. Try putting a thawed mouse in your tank...and then go back to pick out the bones and fur in about 8 hours. ;)
They also seem to love fish flakes and cichlid pellets.
We give ours fresh water, not crystals. We use a plastic urine sample cup w/silk plant leaves sticking out of it for the babies to climb in and out of it, and we screw the cup down into the deep substrate so it's closer to dirt level.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!

p.s.. make sure you use cheap brand dog/cat food. Many premium brands are actually harmful to the bug colonies; as they contain natural pest repellents, like Rosemary and such.

The mouse body sounds kind of gross. I've never heard of that. But they love it?? Does the mouse produce any foul odor? Just curious. I have two snakes and a bag full of frozen feeder mice in the freezer-----would be willing to try one out for my colony.
