Are Calci worms ok for little jumping spiders?

I just got my first Jumping spider just over 2wks ago, she's only little about 1.5cm but she has only eaten two small crickets since I got her and is now running away from flies and crickets and jumps into her hide as they pass. I have some calci worms (10mm) coming but I've read that the calcium isn't good for them bc they of course have no bones therfore don't need calcium and don't process it well. Is this true and if not are they safe to feed at this size?

Hi, thanks for the help. So are they bad for spiders, or just not very nutritious? Because i don't want them to go to waste if they can be used. When it comes to mealworms is 1.5-1.8cm too big for a 1.5cm juvenile jumper? Should they be kept for when they're bigger? I'm new to this, I've read loads but i just want to make sure she's getting everything she needs. I don't understand why she would be running away from food. Hence why I wanted to try the worms. Any idea's?. All help and advice is welcomed. Thanks.

Calci worms will be fine, no need to feed as a staple diet as not required to the extent that vertebrates need.
If you keep them nice and cool they should last for weeks, just allow them to warm up prior to feeding and watch them wriggle.
If you separate several into an escape proof container the worms will pupate into black soldier flies, that obviously can fly, and your jumper should really enjoy chasing them.

What dry desert said all tracks I would say for mealworms just get newly hatched or small but if u only have large cut it in half or as much as needed I would feed the larvae not as a staple but if your jumper takes it great! Just make sure they are on occasion

Really? I thought she was just a baby. She's a Phidippus Regius, probably closer to a cm and she tucked herself away last night for her first molt since getting her so now I know why she was acting weird. I can't wait to see what she looks like when she comes out :)
