It's a color morph of the Boa Constrictor. :) I'm not sure of the subspecies though. Most likely imperator.

you'd be better off spending $50-200 on a normal to sunglow boa if that's what you want. 2 grand seems a little steep for a first boa:eek:

i'm not thinking of buying one atm, just curious. i'm not going to be buying any critters for a while, just looking at different species, and asking questions ;)

No pics have been posted.

I don't need to see a pic to know there are both Pythons and Boas w/the surname "Blood."

ok then captain sematics, the link then:rolleyes:

i figured the same: noob got python and boa mixed up. after all, blood python is a species and blood boa is a morph... species just seems to take first place in my brain:D

Being that someone recently posted a thread called "New Blood" and people often refer to Blood pythons as simply "bloods", which is an easy way to cause this mixup - without a pic, it is easy to mistake this, especially, if I am thinking of species, and not a color morph that is referred to as just "Blood Boa".

yeah, they kinda lead you to believe it's a species rather than a morph but with that price tag they probably figure only serious hobbyists are going to be interested and will therefore know what it is:}

i like constrictors but i don't keep up on all the morphs out there... there's just too many! same with leopard geckos...

Blood Boas are a morph of a Central American Boa subspecies.
