Margie eggs seem to be notoriously difficult to get to hatch, they lay no problem but then the eggs do nothing. Have you removed the eggs from the tank? If you have don't do it again :) for some reason every batch I've moved I've lost and we're talking 100's of eggs (over sometime).
There are some knowledgeable people on the Yahoo group cybersnail, they're a great bunch of people very friendly (very much like the people on these forums :D ) they might be able to help.

hi
i think your thinking of a different snail (i get confused between A. fulica and A. marginata)
they type i have only lays a few large eggs, not the 100's you described.
however, we did move the eggs from the tank, which may be the problem

Nope I'm talking about A.marginata, (not to sound rude but..) in my post I did say over sometime as in several layings. Margie eggs are about the size of those cadbury crispy shell chocolate ones (NOT the creme ones LOL), well the four clutches in the bottom of my tank at the moment are :D

i did see the "over some time" bit, but i thought it would have to be over a considerable time period, with LOADS of clutches.
we are talking about the same snails, i just got our wires crossed!

The're Hatching Now after 5 weeks.

I was about to empty the peat out of a plastic tank I used to show some Margies in back in August and have found the clutch of 8 eggs I left in there (just incase) two have hatched the others seem to be heavy enough to contain babies so I've just covered them up again. They have been in our conservatory since then an average 24 degrees, I know they were laid on 7th August, so that's just over 5 weeks.
