guys, i'm planning to put a couple of arboreal tarantulas in my office.. its airconditioned so it needs to be able to handle temperatures ranges from 20-26 degrees celcius when aircon is turned on and would increase to possibly around 30-32 degrees when the aircon is off after work or on weekends where no one is in the office.. any suggestions on what I could try?

I wouldn't be worried abput temperatures, but humidity could be a problem with arboreals in airconditioned rooms.

Hmmmm . . . 20-26C converts to 68-78F. That sounds fine if you ask me. It is definitely within the range of "average room temperature."

I sure wish I could keep Ts at my office!

All of my T's are in the same room as my air conditioner - quite a few directly next to it. All will be fine so long as you compensate by watering/misting more than usual, because the A/C dries the air.

Ha,look at my location,we have been over 100 for weeks, and now 110+,so you can imagine how often our AC is running, and we have mostly arboreals...

I had Alice in my office for a while (she is at home now since there is construction going on here and I dont trust the weeniers that come in here at night to work). I had a sign that said "Complaint Department -Please take a Number" and then put a label with the word "Numbers" on it on her hide which was a flowerpot on its side. I personally think that a more effective complaint department manager would be an OBT...but that is just me :)

I have to have an AC in my office - a 10 x 16 ish room. I have 550 Ts and over 65 species... no one has complained yet... I just water more frequently, everyone of size has a water dish. Right now it's quite cloudy outside, possible rain later today, and humidity is looking like 78%. My daughter is sitting on the floor looking at various little B albos... we are all comfortable.

Species from mountaineous area usualy fare better at cooler temps. Like some pokies, esp. subfusca highland...

He's worried about his tarantulas because he has air conditioning, and I worry because I can't get air conditioning in my T room...lol.
