A friend of mind sent me this pic from his recent trip to Germany. Pretty sure it's Araneus diadematus, feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken. I wish our garden spiders got this big!

I think garden spiders do get that big out here check out the arigropes :) [spelling]

Big! That's not big. I have the same species in my yard that are way bigger than that. There is one right outside my window that has an abdomen the size of a dime. I used to see them that big alot but they are getting kinda rare now. I still see a couple that big every year though.

We very rarely get large garden spiders where I live, though I remember having big ones on the farm where I grew up, and, yes, I'm interested in these spiders; drop the attitude, it would serve you well.

what´s wrong with my attitude, i just offered you some more pics if you should indeed have a deeper interest in this spiders? :?

If you disliked my statement about this spiders being boring, i´m sorry, but that´s my personal opinion. I´m more into fast and aggressive hunters.

However, that statement was in no way meant to diss you, so cool down and enjoy the show: :)
