Please make an Arachnoboards app on google. It would help a lot. TIA

We don't have to do it pro bono persay, just have Mr. Deranged start a gofundme or somethin so we can all chip in to hire someone to do it.This idea has been brought up before, unfortunately I don't think the venn diagram of T keepers and app developers willing to do it pro bono has much overlap. Plus the mobile site works very well in my experience.
Same thing the browser application does, just formatted for phones. Accessing the site on my phone browser isn't terrible but there definitely are some things that could be handled much better via an app rather than the browser. What exactly would the function be?
What would it do?
Oh. I see.Same thing the browser application does, just formatted for phones. Accessing the site on my phone browser isn't terrible but there definitely are some things that could be handled much better via an app rather than the browser.
It could also theoretically increase new users, when it has a portable aspect. Again it's all doable on phone browsers, but the app would make mobile experience cleannnnnn.
To add onto that, I'd definitely donate to see an app made. I'm sure there's enough folks on here that would donate even if it's not something they'd necessarily be interested in just to see the growth and show support for the community they love.
I’m aware of the process yes. What’s your point? An op-ed saying it’s difficult?Has anyone who has done programming in MySQL and PHP researched what all is involved in converting a web site to Android or IOS? Here are some links to help clue you. And after the basics of course, all the little tweaks and adjuncts that have been added to ABs copy of XenForo will have to be replicated, if possible.

Weeks of searching and worked on a few guides to convert my existing hosted PHP/MYSQL website to Native IOS/Android Apps. So far no good result. Tried Phonegap and Cordova too. Searches from the paststackoverflow.com

Why do you ask if you already know how difficult it is?I’m aware of the process yes. What’s your point? An op-ed saying it’s difficult?
What does my join date have to do with understanding web/app design? I’m grateful that he put in the time to develop a wonderful platform, unpaid, to bring people together on a topic we all love. Just because I’m new doesn’t mean I don’t understand how unpaid forums operate, or the amount of work and effort to do so, especially back in the day when PHP was the only prevalent language to do so, but I appreciate your opinion. Why do you ask if you already know how difficult it is?
I see from your join date you can't be aware of the great deal of difficulty, the time and trouble @MrDeranged put in porting and testing AB to use this present new program. AB does not have a paid staff and what we enjoy here is a labor of love on the part of unpaid individuals in their spare time..
My own personal suggestion: You could start with going to the bottom of any AB page and following the links on supporting this site.I’m also not implying that he or anyone else here has to be the one to build it pro bono. Again, my idea from above was to utilize gofundme or a similar service to raise the funding to do so.
This suggestion is purely for an app, nothing else. I agree that supporting the website is important, and the unpaid staff who monitor/upkeep it, but utlizing a service like gofundme makes it a targeted donation (i.e. - "I used support links to donate for whatever the site needs" vs. "I donated to a gofundme to specifically hire someone to create an AB app"). It allows those that would like to see an app created the chance to track where their donation is going and what their money is working towards. My own personal suggestion: You could start with going to the bottom of any AB page and following the links on supporting this site.
Is that how you perceive this? Why would they have an entire subsection of their forums dedicated to suggestions if they weren't looking for suggestions? No one here is telling them how to run or fund their site. It was merely a suggestion of making a mobile app, and how to possibly fund a project for that.Go for it. Personally, I don't have the position or audacity to tell the owners of AB how they should run or fund this site.
While you are by no means alone in your expectations the cynic in me is saying, 'Right. As in right after a MS to linux porting program.'At some point in the future, there will be a PWA (progressive web app) available for android
