Hello!
I'm wondering if anyone conditions their bearded dragon's water before giving it to them. If this is needed, what should I use? I have heard Reptisafe is a great conditioner, but could I use an aquarium water conditioner instead? The only reason for this is that I currently have fish, and have a conditioner that removes chlorine and heavy metals.
Thanks!

You need to condition drinking water for reptiles?
I've heard it can be important, but I'm asking on here just to see. I doubt it's as important as for amphibians, but I'm just curious

Actually for amphibians its much more important to condition water as their skin will absorb anything in the water, they have to be treated somewhat similarly to fish in that respect. I don't condition my reptiles drinking water at all, but I also feel confident in drinking the same water they do.

I did mean that amphibians are more sensitive to water quality, sorry, my phrasing was confusing! Thanks for letting me know about your bearded dragon's water! Our tap water is safe to drink, so I'm sure my bearded dragon will be fine without conditioner!

I've always assumed these things were a bit of a scam product for reptiles. For amphibians, I get it.

That said, I also understand why people would want to use water that wouldn't leave calcium-type build up on glass, etc from hard water stains if its a nice terrarium set-up.
