I currently have a Johnnycashi sling who is I want to say less than 1/2 inch, how often do slings molt as I know aphonophelma in general are incredibly slow growers, I’m wondering how long should I expect before it’s around 2 inches or so.

It could be a very long time, but it all depends on how often it eats, what temps you keep it at, etc.

My suggestion: keep it between 80 and 85F for 10 to 12 hours each day (pick the warmest room in your house) and offer food twice a week for potentially faster growth.

I don’t know about this species, but if it’s comparable to to hentzi/chalcodes I’d say 4-5 years

Apart from seemanni the genus as a whole has pretty abysmal growth, I got my bicoloratum as a 1/5" (0.5cm) sling over two and a half years ago and it's barely even 3/4" (2cm) now, it's still in the same condiment cup I housed it in when I got it.

I got a 2-3i A chalcodes in Sept 2020 and it just molted for the second time about a week ago, now it's probably a little under 3/4"
