Yes I already did mutliple searches and either the search function ain't funtioning or there isn't that much info. Either way I got nothing on the subject from a search of the boards.

So what is the max size of Aphonopelma seemani. I just went to the store and got a little 3" IMO female for a co-workers grandson, it was all they had besides G. rosea.

Also how moist should the 6" of peat I am putting in its tank be?

I looked online and of coarse I was not impressed with any of the caresheets, so I am asking you folks who have one of these, as I do not, what the best setup is?

The adult size is about 4.5 to 5 inches. I have an adult male and he is this size. He has been the same size now for about a year. I guess he's just takin' his time.

I keep him in a 20 tank laid on its side with lots of live plants. The plants help keep the humidity up and the opening on the side help too. I'd say I probably keep him at 70% and he does fine. They do dig quite a lot but since I gave mine a large tank with several hides and tall grasses/palms. He is content and has not rearranged the furniture. He loved to hang out in "The Weeds" as if he is stalking something.

for some reason I thought that females would get over 6 inches in DLS? I must be thinking of LPs?

Nope. These are normal, sort of medium sized t's. You may occasionally see a beast that approaches 6" but that'd be pretty rare. 5" is about it.

My understanding humidity wise is that they can tolerate it on the dry side but enjoy a bit of moisture. If G rosea is a 1 (desert) and T blondi is a 10 (wet jungle) then keep these guys at 3-6. Like most Aphonopelma, they're pretty resilient.

Thank you for the information. IF any one has more to add please feel free.

my male is exactly at the 6" mark. my female is about 4.5-5". i keep mine on dry peat with a full water dish. sometimes she'll hang around the dish, and every once in awhile, near a wet patch on the subs. otherwise, dry.

I keep mine in dry coco fiber with a fairly large water dish. The substrate is about 6" deep in a large KK.

Hope this helps,
