I have two slings, which I got around May 2019. They are both still shy of 1” after molted 10 times under my care. I still do not see any of colorations, not even slightest.

It was actually May 2018.

I remember seeing this species once, and thought "I'll get it some day", but never saw it again, then recently like you they popped up. But being an Apho who knows how long it will grow etc, so I passed after asking a few people, Now reading your post, cements my decision as the right one for me.

A buddy has some adults. The females are okay looking, the males tended to have better color. Good looking T, but I'm too old and too cheap to pursue. The GBBs I've owned had as good of color in most cases. My A. bicoloratum is an inch and change and I am planning on leaving it to my daughter.
Part of problem is they are native to Sinaloa. I had a customer call for them before a show. "Do you have them?" "Yes, 3/4" slings for $$$$" "Anything bigger?" No, but a buddy has them, $$$$$$ for 1.25 to 1.5" unsexed slings" "well I'm looking for a sexed adult female". "I can get you one but it's gonna run close to $2 grand" "Okay....thx"

Is it the site from exotic-spiders in Poland you are looking at? If yes those prices are without VAT and 30 euro shipping cost.

They're beautiful spiders, but I couldn't justify spending that much money on a tarantula sling.
The other day I saw some slings online for £145 each… That’s ridicilous they’re beautiful but can’t spend that much on a sling. Especially with their glacial growth rates

The mad thing is they sold out within a few hours

If thats all you want, get three. Just in case 🤣

would i? Nope.

id get this first: dolichothele diamentasis. Will probably grow faster too. And color lasts longer, no UrS. Small species. Takes less space.

look at the homoeomma chilensis craze. We are just starting to get slings now, at 200$+ CAD less then an inch. It says it all. Your 180$ euro is like 360$ CAD a sling 🤣🤣🤣 get rare davus at that point. Or adult pulchra. Live the dream.

id sit on it and wait for some to grow. If they cant keep em growing, not even worth it.
