I just caught a gravid female ghost spider, presumably Anyphaena. She was hanging by an elevator at a job site.

I'm keeping her in a small ~ 4" x 4" x 2" plastic enclosure with small pieces of cork bark glued to the walls. I threw a hydei fruit fly in her enclosure, and she didn't want it.

I tried keeping a Hibana before, and had difficulty getting him to eat. Is there a specific prey item that they need? Is it possible they need nectar?

Where should I release her if I can't get her to thrive?

She might refuse food until after she lays eggs. And even then she may be on her way out. Best to release her where you found her.
