Anyone watching Taboo right now? Extreme Collectors - S08,Ep09 It just had a guy with his whole house devoted to reptiles, spiders, amphibians, and coyotes. He had a pretty nice setup, very organized and well maintained. Over 550 total pets. He said he spends $4K-$4.5K a month on upkeep for his pets.

I know y'all keep thinking I sound like a broken record, and a lot of you either do not want to believe me, or you actually agree with the media...but keep in mind who's side they are on, and if you need a reminder, it is NOT OUR SIDE! One of the weapons that the AR's are using, very effectively, is to control the way the majority of people think about those who keep certain kinds of animals. They are shifting the public thought towards believing that we are bad guys, that we are sociopaths, that we abnormal, and therefore we're a threat. What better way to accomplish this than by having a hobbyist featured on a program devoted to deviant, aberrant and bizarre(i.e. dangerous) behaviors, activities that are considered taboo, forbidden? It furthers that perception that people who have animals like this, or who have multiple animals of ANY species, are "messed up", psychologically and emotionally. They want everyone to believe that people who own more than one or two animals of any species are "hoarders" by default, regardless of the care they provide to the animals, and that people who own "exotic" animals are a threat to the very fiber of society itself. THIS is one of the means they're using to accomplish their agenda. The media is not going to show anything positive about hobbyists who keep and breed animals, Lizardminion. That would rub some of their richest and most-influential supporters the wrong way. The public doesn't see how well taken-care of those animals are, because most of the viewers have no clue how to care for such animals in the first place, so they have nothing to compare with what they saw on "Taboo". All they see is a guy with a bunch of scary, dangerous(in their perception), disgusting creatures, who spends that huge amount of money on them, money that in their minds would be much better off being spent on a myriad of other things. He's on a show called "TABOO", which means that what he's doing is supposed to be outside the realm of what is acceptable. Sad thing is, when they did that filming at the guy's place, he probably thought it was going to make him look good, make other "exotic" owners look good. He probably said a lot of things that made sense and would have made viewers at least think positively about what they saw, but those quotes would have been left out because they didn't serve the intended purpose of that segment.

You've got your facts wrong.
That show is about educating the rather unpopular, or unknown species that the ignorant public has never heard of.
It isn't about people who keep exotic pets at all.

Well we will see when it airs.... they seriously could have been more tactful with that title.

During the episode he said something about how it came to point where he had to choose his wife or his pets. Guess what he chose?

They do show some girl helping him out during the filming, but they never say who she is or anything.
