My first cresteds, well two of them, the others are only 2 months old, these are about 4 months old. First up we have calypso, she is not usually this fired up, but the sun really lit her up!

I think she is female, I just have a feeling.

Now we have Artemis, his head seems different than Calypso's, is this any indication of sex? I have a feeling he is a male for some reason. Also would you say he is a harlequin morph?

again just gut feelings, also the first herps i've name in over 8 years :D

oh and I will keep you posted when they become sexable, which happens when, around 11 months?

Even if we did try to guess the sex of your crested we are looking at the wrong side, we need to see the area near the vent which is on the bottom

yeah. what age to they develop these?
I worked with Rahacodactylus leacheanus and Uroplatus I think the racos were somewhere between 5-6 months maybe and I see yours are 4 months so heh heh, I take it you see no pouches:eek:

But if you show a belly pic there might be a difference now

yes mine are around 5 months or so and i can tell i have a definite male and possible female maybe late blooming male, if we see the other side someone may be able to see something to hazard a guess, as said before the vent, which is the area where tail meets body on the belly.

Cool. Thanks for the info, I'm not seeing anything on either of them yet so I don't think they're old enough just yet :)
