i wanted to make a update video of my nile.. shes getting bigger everytime i look at her and i finaly have her cage set up how i like it... let me know what you think..

im not in to monitors but she is beatiful however if she can reach that light it will give her a severely bad burn please find a way to cover it up.

she cant get near enough to it to do her any damage.. monitors are inteligent animals.. its not the same thing as having a snake.. no harm has or will come to her because of her basking light.. it is common practice to have a basking light in monitor cages.. probloms are very rare.. espessialy in adults.. she could reach up and knock it for a second.. nothing more.

I must say it is refreshing to see a monitor setup properly... well done and a nile to boot. I recieved my baby water monitor in very poor shape some kid brought her in wrong temps diet bah blah blah well 2 months later she is doing great and thriving. It kills me that kids can by these guys and vendors don't care it is all about the buck.Really great setup by the way I am building a 10ft-6ft- 3 foot cage for my girl 2 months and she was tame as a monitor can be expected. lets just say I went through alot of tee shirts not worth washing when you get projectile poo...and alot of bandaides.

oh ya, luckly i dont have to deal with the projectile poop thing.. so far shes been way good about it (knock on wood)
