So, I’ve had this Platycryptus undatus juvenile (jumping spider) and everyone says that males can be identified by an orange stripe under their eyes. However, I was wondering if this is always 100% true.

Mori seems to have a slightly orange or brown stripe under the eyes. However I’m unsure how sure I can be. Mostly because the other day I saw an adult Platycryptus undatus who had the stripe, but didn’t have swollen pedipalps, and had the shape and size of a female. See:
