Anyone keep Discus?

ive been keeping fish for about 15 years and have always wanted to get into discus but was always intimidated by the water changes and time involved. now i have an extra 45 gal tall tank and am seriously thinking about getting some discus. anyone on here got any experience? or any advice?

I've been keeping discus for about 3 years now, and I found out on my own that they're really not as delicate as they're made out to be. If you starty out with juveniles they will require more care. Ideally juveniles should be kept in bare bottom tanks, with 3 water changes / week minimum. if you go for adults, you could get away with 1 water change / week. Adults can also be kept in planted tanks.
