Keeping non-native phasmids is illegal without proper permits and those permits are not being given to private citizens, only large institutions and some private businesses.

Yeah, as cool as they are it's better to just steer clear of them. If they got established somewhere they could pretty much rip the local ecosystem a new one.

Too bad, i'd love to keep some too.
