Anyone have any idea what this is?

I found this odd bug in my bedroom. It's about an inch long. Any idea what it is? Does it bite? Is it venomous?

I know the quality isn't the best but bear with me.

It's a Carabid ground beetle. Looks like it might be genus Galerita, the false bombardier beetle. They aren't dangerous but don't put it in your mouth because it has chemical defenses.
