was wondering if anyones been tagged by one of these or if there are any reports of natives being bit.i imagine there venom is similiar to other poec spp but you would almost think with those bright colors that it could be some kind of warning sighn in the wild like "dont mess with me"

There are very few bites in this hobby. It is unlikely that you are going to find a person that has be tagged by P. metallica. There are several reasons for this.
1.) P. metallica has not been in this hobby for long.
2.) Do to the cost, 200-400, not many have this species, the ones that do have them are usually good and not being bit.
3.) Like most pokies they are very doscile and are not likely to bite.
4.) Like most pokies they do have a painful bite and therefor most people that have them use care when near them.
5.) Most bites happen by handling the species, most owners that own pokies know that they can not be handled well.

most people keeping pokies know to respect a T species known to have significant venom, and most probly dont hold or handle them. The risk from a bite from these would outweigh any urge on my part to hold one. I would assume metallica would be equally as painful/horrible experience as the others. One guy, a scorpion keeper who has kept dangerous species, compared a bite from a large pokie as enormous pain and endured this pain, swelling, muscle cramps for almost 48 hours.

lol, but I still wouldnt hold it, my pokies I consider as display Ts only. Probly less stress for them, anyway.
