I have some I recently got at a show and they make very interesting captives. They settled right in and started displaying and sniffing around and behaving normally. I'm actually considering getting more for an empty 55g tank but was wondering if anybody knew of a source for these guys. I know they're very common in the southwest and some people use them as feeders but up in the Northeast they're not commonly seen for sale. I'm particularly interested in acquiring some locality and species specific individuals as mine are a mystery to me.

I dont keep them, but one of my collection sites is brimming with them. Generally they are good communal lizards, but males sometimes will fight. I'd sell ya some, but it's illegal to sell native reptiles in california, and i don't have a breeder's permit.

That stinks that you can't collect a few if they're super common. I'm getting more and more into our native little reptiles, banded geckos and fence lizards are also on my list.

I'm allowed to collect them (i have a fishing license) but i cannot sell them. Though there are no laws saying you cannot pay me to find them for you :D
