I dunno, I was watching something about carnivorous snails and now I'm hooked. I know Assassin Snails are carnivorous, but those dudes are aquatic. Does anyone know where I can find any terrestrial carnivorous snails? Thanks!

All I can really help with is narrowing your search. I know of Rosy Wolfsnails, they can be found in Texas. I’d actually attempted to find someone selling them, but came out empty handed. So if anybody sells rosy wolfnsails specifically I’d be interested as well, but I’m sure they aren’t the only option for you.

Plenty of rosy wolf snails to be had here.

There are a few other carnivorous species in the US, but most are small and rather secretive.

Lemme just say, getting snails in the US is kind of hard. It's illegal to bring a snail across state lines without a permit. So I'm not sure if there's any way you can legally acquire a carnivorous snail such as the Rosy Wolf Snail, you'd have to find a breeder in your state.

Oooooh yeah. Don't even get me started on Florida's invasive snail crisis.

Definitely. Imagine how alarming it'd be to see a Giant African Land Snail over there:rofl: Honestly, I feel bad for Florida. So many invasive species outcompeting the native wildlife. It's awful.

In terms of snails, Hawaii would be the most affected, especially by an invasive known as the rosy wolfsnail.

I feel bad when any invasive species take over. Here at VT, Marbled Crayfish and Zebra Mussels have decimated the aquatic environments, and emerald ash borers and longicorn saywer beetles have done pretty much the same thing, except on land.

All the giant African land snails down here are pretty much gone. A bounty was put on them and their size betrayed them in the end.

While I feel bad for people in the south, it still sucks that African giant snails are illegal in the entire US. I live in n. Ohio - they not going to be a problem here. I can buy dubia roaches, but tropical snails and beetles are illegal.
