It's always amazing how many people have never heard of anything like them. I guess not everyone reads insect/arachnid field guides for fun (or grew up on the "golden guides"), since these are in all of them.
But I, too, have only ever encountered a couple of them, and can only think of them as amazing, exotic creatures.
Same with silverfish. I have one (one) silverfish living in a bottle on my desk. Caught it at work months ago.

We have those all over in my area.
Out of curiousity, how would you care for this critter? I see hundreds of them around my dorm, and was thinking about getting into myriapods anyway. Also, if anyone wants any, PM me, and if you pay for shipping I'd be happy to send you some.

that is a scutigera coleoptrata,really fast and vorax animals.
